CIRM welcomes as of September 2017 a new doctorate “Arts-Sciences in musical composition” within the framework of the UCA JEDI program (University of the Côte d’Azur, Joint, Excellence and Dynamic Initiative)

For a duration of three years, The Arts-Sciences doctorate in musical composition will be jointly hosted by the CIRM (National Center for Musical Creation) and CTEL (Transdisciplinary Center for the Epistemology of Literature, living Arts, Dance, Music, Theater), in a partnership with the Physics Institute of Nice (INΦNI, UMR CNRS).

The doctoral thesis will be supervised by Jean-François Trubert, Professor of Musicology at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, and by François Paris, composer and Director of the CIRM.
CALL FOR CANDIDATES

The profile sought: hold a Master’s or equivalent degree in the field, and with a demonstrated dual-competence, both in the area of artistic creation and in scientific research.
